I imagine Father Time is not appreciating his new street mate. FT has owned this spot on Polk @ Clay for as long as I can remember…so at least since yesterday. Seriously, FT is routinely perched in front of Big Apple Grocery on Polk begging for spare change. I admit, I’m not totally up-to-speed on homeless etiquette, but I don’t think you’re supposed to squat on another guys corner. This guy is more of a bother too…he doesn’t just sit. He sleeps and wiggles around…hence his moniker…Wiggle Worm.

Here’s hoping he wiggles his way to another hood…

Happy Father’s Day, Dad. I would say they broke the mold, but my brothers are pretty great Dad’s too. The apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree…

I am so thankful for you and everything you do. You are the #1 Dad for too many reasons to list.

I love you!!!

I took a leisurely drive up to Napa last Sunday for one reason and one reason only. Oh wait. Two reasons and two reasons only. Reason 1: To pick me some flowers! The weekend prior I saw a dozen or more rosebuds and I couldn’t live with myself if Mom’s roses bloomed and went unappreciated. The hydrangeas are also blooming and I needed to have them too! Reason 2: The oranges. I’ve been spoiled rotten with a steady supply of grapefruit for fresh squeezed juice in the morning and now I’m onto oranges. Lucky for me, Dad’s orange tree has oranges galore! There is nothing better than fresh squeezed o.j. in the morning. Soooooo  goooooooood!

Well, mission accomplished. I walked away with over a dozen roses, a bunch of hydrangeas, and 20 oranges! Check out my haul below…heehee…I’m so lucky!

AAAAHHHHHH. Spotted this spider sitting in a tree on Van Ness @ Green yesterday.

We’ve had a lot of rain the past few days. Yesterday, I was dropping things off at the Goodwill in Napa and as I was leaving spotted 2 ducks crossing the street in the pouring rain. It was so cute I was beside myself! I got a quick pic of them in the middle of the road luckily avoiding the onslaught of cars turning into the shopping center.

I was so smitten with these bold, little adventurers that I pulled out of the parking lot, drove up a block, and turned around to see where they were headed. A-ha! Blissfully swimming in the gutter! This delightful sight totally made up for the fact that the Goodwill wouldn’t take my loom that’s been hidden away in a closet for close to 30 years…(I was quite the weaver in the 4th & 5th grade)…

…a Nun, Santa, Superman, and Pinocchio walking down the street. Ha!

I spotted these guys turning onto Union Street yesterday. Two thumbs up for the great costumes…they were definitely eye-catching! (There was also a peanut and an alien). I overheard someone say they were on a scavenger hunt. Fun!
