Word on the street is that the new SF based drama “Trauma” will be filming this Thursday on Polk. I hear Halloween costumes and an old theater (aka Crunch Fitness) are part of the action. They’ve been filming around the city for months (Ghirardelli, Justin Herman Plaza, 280, etc…), but this is the closest they’ve been to my neck of the woods.

Now, I only recognize one name from the credits and that is Peter Berg, Executive Producer. This makes me happy because he was the super cute SD-6 Agent Noah Hicks on the t.v. show “Alias” (2002). This makes me sad because he also directed “The Kingdom” (2007) and “Hancock” (2008)…two of the stupidest movies I’ve ever seen.

As an SF resident and Noah Hicks fan I’m going to give it a shot. It premieres on NBC Monday, September 28th @ 9pm PDT.

Ok, folks…it’s looks like summer has finally arrived in SF. It is actually hot AND muggy. This amazing weather might have something to do with why I departed work a wee bit early today. Shhhhh!!! I’m also heading up to Napa to hang with my girlies.

Happy Weekend!

There’s the teeniest house in Tiburon that I’m going to purchase as soon as I win the lottery.

It’s not that the bathrooms are larger than my apartment, or that I can picture myself doing Pilate’s with my personal trainer on the veranda…Ok, it is both of those reasons PLUS that view. Seriously people!

I received the most beautimous bouquet of Peruvian Lilies (uncommonly known as Alstroemeria) for my birthday. I’ve had them for over a week and they still look amazing!

Here’s a little trivia from Wikipedia: “Perhaps the most fascinating- and telltale- morphological trait of Alstroemeria and its relatives is the fact that the leaves are resupinate, that is, they twist from the base so that what appears to be the upper leaf surface is in fact the lower leaf surface. This very unusual botanical feature is easily observed in the leaves on cut flowers from the florist.”

Resupinate, shmoopinate…they’re just pretty!

You bet! While in Tahoe we experimented with personalized pizzas…on the BBQ! Roll out the dough, grill one side, apply toppings of choice to the grilled side, return to BBQ and grill the other side. A fun, interactive meal and SO easy (says the girl who didn’t roll the dough or man the grill)!

images…I’ve gone fishin’.  And by fishin’ I mean to Tahoe to lounge.

I walk by Galileo High School on my home from work everyday. Sometimes I don’t pass anything disgusting, but more often than not there’s a homeless person in the bushes or, as seen in the pic below, on the sidewalk.

Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?

Check out the super fun wine glass Pookie got me for my birthday! They’re made by “Designs by Lolita” which sounds a little risque, but from what I can tell it’s just good, clean fun. Not only are they cute-to-boot, but each glass has a unique drink recipe on the bottom. And if that isn’t enough…they come with a travel case so you can celebrate in various locations.

“Birthday Cake”:

1oz Vanilla Schnapps
1oz Almond Schnapps
Fill with white wine

Update: Be wary of using “Lolita” as a tag…I’m getting some interesting Vietnamese spam. Apparently I have “very bootiful website”! Ha!

I went to San Jose yesterday to visit Pookie (aka #7), J, mini-pookie, and to celebrate my birthday a little early. I can’t tell you how thoughtful and unselfish Pookie is…who else would buy me a Vera Bradley sunhat exactly like her own because I’ve been raving about hers ever since she bought it? A proper thank you will be snail mailed, but…I love it, love it, LOVE it!!

Now, hang on to your hat because I was also gifted with a set of torpedos that are used in the pool. I used my nephews to the point of exhaustion over the 4th of July weekend and now I have my very own!
