What a great way to get through the post holiday doldrums and start the year off right. The PBS Miniseries Downton Abbey is back! Season 2 started last night and it is so good I don’t know how I’m going to make it another week until the next episode.
The costumes are amazing.
Like Anna, I too fancy Mr. Bates.
I think most of all, I love Maggie Smith as Dowager Countess of Grantham. She is quite the stubborn matriarch. I’m not the only fan…check out the Countesses Facebook page!

Based on your endorsement, I’m gonna have to start watching!
It was wonderful seeing you guys, even just for a little bit, this weekend. Jenn looks great. I can’t wait to hear about the little guy’s arrival.
Love,
Colleen

Yeah for Netflix. Waiting for Kyra to get home and we’ll start with Season 1 Episode 1 (watched a bit and wanted to wait for Kyra to watch it too)!

Michelle,
This is my most favorite show ever. Did you hear that Shirley MacLaine is starring on Season 3 as Lady Cora’s mum? Can’t wait to see how this will transpire in the story line. I love everything about this series – the costumes, the characters, the scenery and the script. I don’t know if you saw Gosford Park, which is a movie that was also done by Julian Fellowes (I think the name is right) – equally worth watching if you haven’t. Longing for Sunday’s episode already. My mom and I watch every Sunday, and she’s now obsessed, as am I.

Sara – I did hear about Shirley MacLaine joining the cast which I am thrilled about! I just love her. I saw Gosford Park a while ago…that might be one to watch again. Thanks for mentioning it!
